Other Services

BAPTISMS

Baptism are arranged by a personal interview with the Rector when preparation can be discussed.

MARRIAGE

In these days of confusion and breakdown in family life, the Christian Marriage Service upholds the values of mutual commitment, and the recognition of our need of God's grace to live out that commitment.

Arrangements can be made with the Rector from whom further information is available.

FUNERALS

Please inform the Rector promptly when a death has occurred or is imminent. Please check to see that the Rector or other officiant is available at the time suggested before finalising funeral arrangements.

The church is always available for funeral services. On the Sunday after a death and funeral, the deceased is remembered in the prayers at all church services.

IN MEMORIUM

On the anniversary of the death, it is fitting that the deceased is remembered in the prayers of the church. If you wish, you can arrange to have flowers placed in the sanctuary, and the memoriam recorded in the weekly pew bulletin.

GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE

The Parish has a Garden of Remembrance at St. Andrew's for the interment of ashes in consecrated ground and the year’s mind remembers those interred in our Garden of Remembrance on the anniversary of their death at the Sunday service following that date each year.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP

Every member of the Church is invited to play a part in its life and work.

Firstly, by sharing in our praise and worship of God - Showing our love of God.

Secondly, by sharing in its fellowship and service Showing our love of neighbour.

In doing this we commit realistically our time, our talents and our material resources. Financial giving is simply an expression of this commitment.

FINANCE

Over many years the use of the envelope scheme has proved to be the most practical way of doing this in modern society. Use of regular weekly envelopes assists us to give is a considered proportion of our income in response to what we have received from God. It ensures that our giving to the mission of the Church is regular as if we miss a Sunday we have the opportunity to make it up next week.

The amount you give depends on individual circumstances and as envelopes are issued only by numbers - this information is strictly confidential.

If you would like a set of envelopes to assist in the financial planning of the Parish contact the parish office on 3857 5734.

ANFIN DIRECT is another popular way of giving to St. Andrew’s. This is a no cost way of transferring your giving from your bank account directly into the Parish account on a regular basis - especially helpful if you are in employment and when you go away as you don’t have to remember to catch up with your envelopes and assists our budget planning.
